Hurricane season preparedness. - If the National Weather Service issues a hurricane warning for your county, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida will waive any time restriction on your prescription to ensure you have a good supply of necessary medications, in case of an evacuation. And physicians, hospitals, and other providers will accept your valid member ID card and photo ID if you need medical attention during or after a hurricane.
